The Official Digital SAT Study Guide will be released on 1st August 2023 by Collegeboard. The guide will have four practice tests and sample questions. Currently, we don’t know if these tests will be identical to the ones in the Bluebook app or the linear practice tests (non-adaptive) that have already been released by Collegeboard.
Skills Insight SAT: Video explanations posted
The SAT Skills Insight tool helps students interpret their digital SAT scores, and also allows them to see sample questions from different domains and difficulty levels. Collegeboard has released a set of 56 Digital SAT math questions that are organized by difficulty and belong to the following four domains: Algebra, Advanced Math, Problem Solving and Data Analysis, and Geometry and Trigonometry. These set of questions can be obtained from Skills Insight SAT Tool link at Collegeboard’s Digital SAT website. How to use Desmos calculator in Digital SAT
In the video below, I go over four types of digital SAT math questions that can be easily solved with the help of the Desmos graphing calculator that will be part of the new digital SAT which will be rolled out for international SAT test takers in spring of 2023, and in the US beginning spring of 2024.
Digital SAT and Desmos graphing calculator
Collegeboard’s new digital SAT gives students access to the powerful graphing calculator Desmos. This means that many of the questions that were difficult in the past SAT can now be easily solved using the graphing calculator. In this video, I illustrate this ease of using Desmos to solve two difficult SAT math questions taken from the digital SAT practice tests released by Collegeboard in the fall of 2022.
